333 Million Children Worldwide are Living in Extreme Poverty

For youth and other vulnerable people, survival often comes before dreams. Many are forced to leave school just to find food or income. When one meal a day isn’t guaranteed, they may beg, work dangerous jobs, or go hungry. Without support, some face abuse, sickness, and loneliness in silence. Over time, they stop believing things can ever get better. This cycle of poverty and pain can’t be fixed by short-term aid or overstretched systems. It takes a new approach—one that gives people the tools and confidence to change their own lives.

We create pathways for youth and other vulnerable people to become self-reliant.

Through a locally led, three-year program, participants join supportive groups of 75-100 peers. Together, they receive micro-grants, hands-on training, and life skills development. From starting small businesses to building confidence and connections, each person gains the tools they need to live with strength, dignity, and independence.

Youth become safe and healthy.

Youth are skilled for long-term success.

Youth are wrapped in layers of community

Before joining Zoe, Jacques and his family survived by working for others in exchange for food, often eating only once a day with no certainty about tomorrow’s meal. Through Zoe’s program, Jacques created a dream chart, beginning with livestock ownership, which he achieved. His future goals include starting a larger chicken project and building a house. Today, Jacques and his siblings live a far better life: they grow vegetables, enjoy 2 balanced meals a day with fruits, beans, cassava, and greens, drink boiled water, and maintain a dish rack for hygiene. They also benefit from health insurance, ensuring improved well-being and security.

Jacques became healthier and safer.

We believe in the power of potential.

When youth and other vulnerable people are surrounded by a caring community, they can lead their own path out of poverty—becoming confident, self-reliant, and free from the need for endless aid.
